(Sioux City)– A Milford woman has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison on firearms and meth charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 28-year-old Elizabeth Strang was sentenced today (Thurs.) in U.S. District Court in Sioux City after pleading guilty in September of last year to possession of stolen firearms and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Evidence presented during plea hearings showed Strang stole 10 firearms from her boyfriend and made arrangements to sell them to an individual cooperating with law enforcement. Strang also admitted that from 2019 through 2020 she and others distributed more than 250 grams of methamphetamine. On March 5th of last year she was arrested on the federal firearm indictment. At that time, agents seized over 27 grants of meth from her pocket.
The case was investigated by Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Spencer Police Department, the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa DCI.
