Pet of the Week

Meet Tavee and Hank!

Meet Tavee and his brother Hank and sister Ruby! These fluffy pups all came from an unwanted litter. Born mid March they are ready to find their very own forever homes!  We are told these pups are a mix of Pyranees/Lab and Border Collie.  Border collies are herders and very smart!  Labs are hunters and always have their nose to the ground or air searching and Great Pyrenees are guardian dogs so be sure to do your research and consider that anyone of these breeds might be prominent in your puppy’s personality!  The boys will be big dogs!  They are already very filled out and muscular.  Little Ruby likely will only be about 60 pounds.  She got a broken leg when a child ran it over on a bicycle.  The leg is healing but she may always have a limp.  These pups are energetic, playful, sweet, affection seeking and full of love!  They would be happy to be an integrated part of your family.  They are up to date on vaccination, wormed and microchipped.  Their adoption fee is $300.00 and they will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Meet Krew, Kai & Kiva!

Krew and his brothers Kai and Kiva spent their first weeks at the shelter hiding under their blankets like the shelter staff might be the monsters under the bed. Fortunately, at some point, they realized they were wrong and started emerging to ask for treats and attention. Kiva likes toys and attention and is the most outgoing. Kai’s attitude varies day by day. Think “Sometimes” by Britney Spears! Krew still likes being hidden, but he’s also getting bolder all the time. He will freeze if you pick him up, but he is now spending more time being social and sleeping in more exposed places. Krew is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. This handsome boy was born September of 2024. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants.
