(Arnolds Park)– The Northwest Iowa Concert Band will perform this weekend at the Majestic Pavilion at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Director Rich Nicklay says they’ll be presenting their 32nd summer concert at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 19th…
“This is an annual concert we’ve been doing since 1992. And at this year’s concert this year will be a special year because we’re going to celebrate USA 250 with a lot of patriotic tunes, marches, singalongs.”
Nicklay says the band is comprised of members from around the region…
“The band includes volunteers from area communities including the lakes area, Emmetsburg, Estherville and Jackson, Minnesota. During the school year we get together and put on two concerts. During the summer, here, we get together and play at the Arnolds Park Pavilion and we also go play at some care centers.”
Sunday’s concert is free to the public.
