(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop early Sunday landed a Spirit Lake man in jail on drug charges.
Police say an officer pulled over a vehicle around 3:00 a.m. Sunday in Spirit Lake for a traffic stop.
The driver was identified as Joshua Alan Fields of Spirit Lake.
A subsequent search resulted in officers finding a green leafy substance alleged to be marijuana along with some drug paraphernalia.
Fields was charged with operating while intoxicated; possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fields was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
