(Bingham Lake, Mn.)– An investigation is underway into the cause of a house fire early this (Friday) morning in southwest Minnesota that claimed the life of a child.
It happened in Bingham Lake, just northeast of Windom.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 3:45 this morning and found the house in flames when they got there.
A 17-month-old child was taken from the home and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Firefighters were on the scene several hours.
The house was destroyed.
