(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday approved a bylaws revision for the Dickinson County Trails Committee.
The change allows for more than nine people to serve on the board.
The revision is the result of Lake Park recently signing a 28E agreement to join the trails group. It will allow the city to have a representative on the Trails Board along with the county and other cities that are a part of the 28E.
On a related note, the supervisors approved the appointments of Billy Niemeyer of Lake Park, Don Eckard of Milford and Ann Fitzgibbons of Okoboji to five-year terms on the Trails Board, with Aaron Reed being appointed to fill a vacancy as the county’s representative. That term expires in 2009.
The supervisors also Tuesday approved a 55,752-dollar changeorder for the Veterans Memorial Plaza project to be constructed as part of the second phase of the courthouse project. The change reflects some additional pavers and granite for the memorial along with some electrical work.
