Spirit Lake Teen Dies Of Injuries Sustained In Jackson County Mishap

(Jackson, Mn.)– A Spirit Lake teen has died of injuries sustained in a single vehicle mishap that took place Monday in Jackson county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Lucas Booher of Spirit Lake was driving a 2000 Ford Econoline van northbound on Jackson County Road Four in Sioux Valley Township when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went into the west ditch and rolled.

A passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Spenser Baskerville of Spirit Lake was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare and was later transferred to a Sioux Falls hospital where he died of injuries sustained in the mishap.

No injuries were reported to Booher.

The mishap took place shortly before 8:00 a.m.
