(Spencer)– Lincoln Elementary School in Spencer is one of 16 elementary and secondary schools across the country to receive the 2006 Intel and Scholastic Schools of Distinction Award.
The program honors schools for implementing innovative programs that support positive educational outcomes and impact student achievement. Lincoln Elementary was selected for its literacy achievement.
Lincoln and the other 15 schools will receive 10-thousand dollars each along with curriculum materials, professional development resources and computer software and hardware.
Lincoln Elementary was the only Iowa school selected for the honor.
