November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Somebody in Spencer has been going around town shooting at windows with a b-b gun.

Police say they received six reports Thursday in which car and house windows had been shot at.

Authorities say two double-pane windows in a residence in the 100 block of Fourth Street Southeast were damaged and vehicles parked in the 200 block of 11th Street Southeast; the 300 block of West 10th Street and the parking lot at the South Park Mall had windows that were either damaged or shot out by a b-b gun.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

Spencer police are also investigating a vehicle break-in. Authorities say two 12-inch subwoofers, an amplifier, in-dash compact disc player and two speakers were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of East Fifth Street. The items have a combined value of 2,480-dollars. Police received the report around 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
