(Spirit Lake)– Snowmobiles travelling where they aren’t supposed to are causing problems for private property owners and area law enforcement agencies.
Spirit Lake Police Chief Jeff Hanson says his department has had several complaints in recent days of snowmobiles cutting across people’s yards. He reminds snowmobile operators they need to stay on the road…on the extreme right-hand side. Hanson adds snowmobiles can NOT be operated on private property, and that no snowmobiles can be operated in the city of Spirit Lake between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
