Slick Roads Result In Accidents In Sw. Mn.

(Undated)– Slick roads over the weekend caused problems for motorists in southwest Minnesota.

The State Patrol says four people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover shortly after 9:00 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 90 near Worthington. Authorities say 26-year-old Ryan Davis of Sioux Falls lost control of a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. Davis and three passengers were taken by ambulance to the Worthington hospital. Ryan Davis, Mary Beth Davis and Evan Davis…all of Sioux Falls…were treated for minor injuries and released. Another passenger, Renee Davis, also of Sioux Falls, sustained unknown injuries.

Three people were injured in a one vehicle rollover around 9:30 p.m. Saturday southeast of Jackson. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Jack Erickson of rural Jackson was southbound on Petersburg Road and was starting to round a curve when he lost control of a 1994 Dodge Ram pickup. The vehicle went into the east ditch and rolled. Erickson sustained a laceration to the forehead. Two passengers, both of them minors, were also injured. One was treated for a possible broken collar bone; the other had minor cuts to his hands. Their names weren’t available. The pickup sustained severe damage.

A mishap shortly before 6:00 p.m. Sunday resulted in minor injuries to a Nebraska man. The Minnesota State Patrol says 56-year-old Gary Forsch of Spencer, Nebraska lost control of a 1992 Ford Ranger pickup on I-90 near Worthington. Forsch was taken by ambulance to the Worthington hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
