(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop early Sunday in Spirit Lake landed a Milford man in jail on drug and traffic-related charges.
The Spirit Lake Police Department says officers were trying to pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop, but the driver, identified as 21-year-old Terrance Wayne Buescher the second, failed to stop, leading officers on a pursuit through Spirit Lake. The vehicle finally stopped a few minutes later and Buescher took off on foot. He was found a short distance away.
Upon making contact with Buescher authorities found a green leafy substance on him alleged to be marijuana.
Buescher was arrested and charged with speeding, failure to obey a stop sign, no insurance, no driver’s license, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver…a class “D” felony; interference with official acts…a simple misdemeanor; failure to affix a drug tax stamp…a class “D” felony; and prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Buescher was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
