(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake VFW and American Legion are looking for volunteers to help put up flags on the courthouse lawn for the Memorial Day observance.

Those who can help are asked to gather at the courthouse lawn at 3:00 p.m. Friday (5/28).

Likewise, volunteers are also needed to help take the flags down. They’re asked to meet at 3:00 p.m. Monday (Memorial Day) at the courthouse lawn.

The Memorial Day Program in Spirit Lake will begin at 9:55 a.m. Monday (5/31) on the east lawn of the Dickinson County Courthouse. The keynote speaker will be Marilyn Strickland.

The parade will follow, with Harold Henderson as this year’s Grand Marshal.

The public is also invited to a garage sale this Friday, Saturday and Monday (5/28, 5/29 and 5/31) at the Spirit Lake American Legion hall.
