(Spirit Lake)– The city of Spirit Lake is being gifted some property to assist in putting in a street that will serve a new subdivision just south of Matuska Taxidermy.
The city council this (Monday) afternoon voted unanimously to accept the conveyance of a strip of land from the Hoien family.
The land is being conveyed in exchange for the city not assessing the cost of the street and utility improvements to the adjoining properties the Hoien family owns.
Construction on the road is tentatively slated for completion by December 1st, 2007.
