(Spencer)– A convicted sex offender living in Spencer has been charged with violating Iowa’s Sex Offender Registry Law.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Jessie Kilgore was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at a trailer house at 221 West 32nd Avenue in Spencer.
Authorities say they made the arrest after learning Kilgore, a convicted sex offender, had been living there without registering with the Clay County Sheriff.
Kilgore was charged with failure to register as a sex offender and was booked into the Clay county jail without incident.
He was being held on 6,500-dollars bond.
