(Des Moines)– Several northwest Iowa entities have been awarded funding through the Iowa Department of Economic Development for out-of-state marketing.
Locally, Okoboji Tourism was awarded 7,200 dollars to advertise on some skywalks in Minnesota; the Clay County Fair Association is getting five thousand dollars for advertising in Minnesota, South Dakota and Nebraska; and Storm Lake was awarded 6,400 dollars for advertising in South Dakota and Minnesota.
11 entities were awarded nearly 80-thousand dollars for various promotional marketing efforts.
The grant program is a partnership among the Iowa Tourism Office and the three state tourism regions. Funding comes from state gaming revenue.
