(Lakefield, Mn.)– A Lakefield man sustained minor injuries when he lost control of a motorcycle after colliding with a couple of dogs…killing one of them.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 22-year-old Anthony Rients was travelling on Highway 86 about a mile north of Lakefield when two dogs ran out in front of him. One of the dogs was killed upon impact. Authorities say Rients then lost control of the motorcycle, which slid into the west ditch.
Rients was taken to the Jackson Medical Center where he was treated for some cuts, bumps and bruises and released.
Moderate damage was reported to a 2006 Harley Davidson Motorcycle he was driving.
The mishap took place shortly before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
