Long Time SL City Administrator To Retire

(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake’s long-time City Administrator will be calling it quits next month.

Pete Hegeman announced at Tuesday’s city council meeting he’ll be retiring late next month after 28 years at the helm.

The announcement came after the council voted unanimously in favor of offering Hegeman an early retirement package.

Mayor Eric Nielsen expressed his appreciation to Hegeman for his many years of dedicated service to the city. Nielsen wished Hegeman and his family well on their future.

Hegeman’s last day as City Administrator will be September 29th.
