(Des Moines)– The Iowa Finance Authority announced Wednesday it’s awarded 1.84 million dollars in grants to 18 housing groups throughout the state.
Shawna Lode of the I-F-A says the grants are through the state Housing Trust Fund the legislature created in 2004.
Locally, the Lakes Community Land Trust of Dickinson county was awarded 66,023-dollars to purchase land and provide gap financing for up to five new, existing or rehabilitated homes. The homes will be sold to low-income homebuyers.
