(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors took no action Tuesday on another request for funding from the Lakes Community Land Trust.
Spokesman Jim Golden requested 35-thousand dollars from the county to assist with administrative operations. Golden told the supervisors the Lakes Community Land Trust needs to become more visible to those needing their service, saying they want to open an office.
Golden told the supervisors the 35-thousand could come out of a portion of Tax Increment Finance proceeds earmarked specifically for housing projects benefitting low to moderate-income residents.
But there’s a question if the county can use that money for administrative purposes. Assistant County Attorney Lonnie Saunders will look into the matter.
