Jackson Co. Mishap Sends Two People To LRH

(Lakefield, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 86 and County Road 68 in Jackson county sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says vehicles driven by 40-year-old Shannon Lucht of Jackson and 28-year-old Timothy Baerg of Mountain Lake collided in a passing-type accident as they were travelling south on Highway 86.

Lucht and a passenger in the vehicle she was driving, eight-year-old Dylan Lucht of Jackson, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake where they were treated for minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Baerg.

Severe damage was reported to a 1998 GMC driven by Lucht; moderate damage was reported to a 2000 Kenworth semi tractor driven by Baerg.

The mishap took place shortly before 3:30 p.m.
