(Estherville)– For the 12th year in a row, Iowa Lakes Community College is reporting a record enrollment.
Julie Carlson, Dean of Enrollment Management at Iowa Lakes, says Fall 2006 credit enrollment was up 4.2 percent. The credit enrollment includes 32,640 credits, up over 1,300 credits from last year. The head count is up 2.3 percent…at more than 3,900 students.
Carlson attributes the increase to several programs, with the largest coming in the college’s arts and science area. In addition, she says more students continue to take on-line courses.
Iowa Lakes Community College offers more than 100 areas of study at its five locations in Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake.
