Fake Money Orders Appear In E’burg Area

(Emmetsburg)– Some phoney money orders are making the rounds in parts of the region.

The Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce has issued an advisory to its members, saying a local bank received a number of the fake money orders recently.

The money orders are international and have the name “Wal-Mart” somewhere on the check.

Any business that gets one should contact their local law enforcement agency.
