E’Ville Police Make Numerous Arrests In Unrelated Cases

(Estherville)– The police blotter is full these days in Estherville. Authorities say they’ve made numerous arrests over the past couple weeks on a variety of cases.

Police say John Holton the third of Mapleton was arrested on February 17th and charged with second degree criminal mischief stemming from an incident on February 7th in which six vehicles at Iowa Lakes Community College were damaged.

26-year-old Lucas Smith of Estherville was arrested when he turned himself in Wednesday. Smith was wanted on three warrants for domestic assault, willful injury and carrying a concealed weapon in connection with an incident that allegedly took place Monday. That’s when police were called to an Estherville residence on a report of someone being assaulted with a knife. Smith is being held in the Emmet county jail on bond of 18,200-dollars.

Police say 23-year-old Heather Peterson of Estherville was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for a meth lab discovered last November at an Estherville residence. Peterson was charged with transporting anhydrous ammonia. While making the arrest officers observed what appeared to be a controlled substance. A search warrant was obtained and executed, resulting in the arrest of 18-year-old Danielle Nelson who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; and 26-year-old Ben Doyle who was charged with possession of a controlled substance and posssession of drug paraphernalia.

Also Wednesday, Estherville police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the previously mentioned meth lab. Lindsey Friesner was charged with two counts of child endangerment. Friesner was booked into the Emmet county jail on bond of 13-thousand dollars.

And Estherville police Wednesday arrested 47-year-old Michael Schubert on a warrant for filing false reports to law enforcement. It stems from an incident alleged to have taken place in October of last year. Schubert is being held in the Emmet county jail on bond of nearly two-thousand dollars.
