E’ville Man Sentenced To 30 Years In Meth Case

November 22, 2014

(Sioux City)– An Estherville man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine within a thousand feet of the Estherville Middle School.

A jury found 36-year-old Thomas Lee Miller guilty of the charge.

Miller’s arrest stemmed from a search warrant executed May 30th, 2001 on his residence at 220 North Fourth Avenue in Estherville, which turned up materials used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. A methamphetamine lab was found in a shed outside Miller’s residence, along with drug distribution notes.

Miller is being held in the U-S Marshal’s custody until he can be transported to a federal prison.

The case was investigated by the Estherville Police Department, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
