(Spirit Lake)– An auction of of land Thursday on the east side of East Lake Okoboji brought more than 6.6 million dollars.
Tom Bedell of Spirit Lake submitted the top bid of 6,666,600-dollars for the 49 acres of land, which includes slightly more than two thousand feet of waterfront.
The land is located adjacent to Elinor Bedell State Park, which is on land that was donated to the state by Tom Bedell’s father, Berkley Bedell.
The bidding lasted about 15 minutes.
