(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors have approved a recommendation from the county’s Planning and Zoning Commission that closes a loophole.
Zoning Administrator David Kolhaase says some people were taking advantage of the situation to put up accessory buildings in front yards. He says under the former ordinance, an accessory building would be allowed as long as it was attached in someway to the primary structure.
Kolhaase says new language only allows the connection be made by another permanent structure…other than a passageway such as a sidewalk.
