(Superior)– Officials with Green Plains Renewable Energy say the company has entered into a design build contract with Agra Industries to construct a 50 million gallon ethanol plant near Superior.
While dirt work is already taking place on the site, officials say construction of the plant itself should start in the very near future. Mathiowetz Construction of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota was awarded the constract for the dirt work.
In a press release, company officials say they intend to eventually expand production at the Superior facility and another one currently under construction in Shenandoah.
