Clay County Investigation Leads Authorities To Jackson County, Mn.

(Round Lake, Mn.)– Charges have been filed against a rural Round Lake, Minnesota man in connection with an investigation originating in Clay county.

The Jackson county, Minnesota Sheriff’s Office says investigative leads from authorities in Clay county resulted in a search warrant being executed on a residence at 73564 365th Avenue, which is east of Round Lake.

Authorities say a search of that location resulted in them finding items believed to have been stolen from Clay county along with remnants of a methamphetamine lab.

The renter of the property, 33-year-old Wesley Vortherms, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and crimes related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the execution of the warrant by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say their investigation continues.
