(Superior)– A collision Friday north of Superior involving a car and a semi sent one person to the hospital.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says it happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of 320th Avenue and 140th street near Swan Lake.
Authorities say a 1978 Internationl semi driven by 42-year-old Gary Johnson of Lake Park and a 1993 Buick Park Avenue driven by 55-year-old Gregory Fink of Ringsted were both southbound when Fink stopped in the traveled part of the road. Deputies say Johnson couldn’t stop in time and collided with the rear of Fink’s vehicle.
Fink was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with non-incapacitating injuries. No injuries were reported to Johnson.
Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the semi driven by Johnson while the car driven by Fink sustained an estimated five thousand dollars in damage.
Fink was cited for stopping on the travelled portion of a highway.
