(Spirit Lake)– An altercation Friday night in the parking lot of a Spirit Lake bowling alley resulted in a foot pursuit and charges against a Milford man.
Spirit Lake police say an off-duty officer was inside the Corner Lanes bowling alley shortly after 9:00 p.m. when he was told about a fight in progress in the business’s parking lot. When the officer tried to intervene, a male identified as 18-year-old Matthew Reason of Milford fled on foot. The off-duty officer chased Reason along with on-duty officers. Reason was eventually located in a cemetery between Wal-Mart and Pure Fishing where he was arrested without further incident.
Reason was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
