(Primghar)– Additional arrests have been made in the Broken Arrow narcotics investigation…this time in O’Brien county.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says the most recent arrests include 35-year-old Robert Peters, Jr. of Hartley, 44-year-old Billy Engelkes…also of Hartley, and 22-year-old William Reuter the fourth of Melvin. Engelkes and Reuter were both charged with delivery of a controlled substance marijuana and Peters was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana. The charges are class “D” felonies punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.
All three were booked into the O’Brien county jail and are scheduled to make court appearances at a later date.
In addition, O’Brien county authorities say they made another arrest in the Broken Arrow investigation back on April 7th. 18-year-old Zackery Buckwald of Sanborn was arrested for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance…methamphetamine. The charges are class “C” felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000.
Buckwald is being held in the Osceola county jail on the O’Brien county charge.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force say their investigation in the Broken Arrow case continues and that more arrests are expected.
Initial arrests in the Broken Arrow investigation were made back on April 27th when 18 defendants were arrested on various felony drug charges in the Iowa Great Lakes.
