(Spencer)– Clay County Public Health and Spencer Hospital will hold a vaccination clinic for those 12-years-old and older this coming Tuesday, May 25th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Spencer High School.
Susan Zulk, Vice President of Marketing and Fund Development at Spencer Hospital says it’s increasingly important younger people also get vaccinated…
“Many of them have activities they want to be involved in, to go to games or other events or maybe, you know, we might have some older teens that have jobs that they need to be at. And also, they’re exposed to their families and so, you know, it’s important for them to be with their grandparents and parents and older friends and relatives. And everybody can get COVID and pass it on, so the more people we have vaccinated the greater likelihood we have of preventing the spread of this illness.”
Zulk says there are several things people should keep in mind for the May 25th clinic…
“A parent or guardian must accompany anyone ages 12 through 17. Those adults 18 and older can come alone. Please bringa signed consent form and an I.D., particularly for anyone over 18. You can have either a driver’s license or a government issued I.D. People can sign up online. There is a link on the Spencer Hospital website to register online and also on our Facebook page.”

She adds the clinic will be open to people from throughout the region. Zulk says they’ll be administering the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. She says a clinic for the second dose will be held June 15th.
