(Des Moines)– A former longtime Spirit Lake police officer has passed away.
Larry Moorhead died this past Thursday at a Des Moines Hospice. He was 68.
Moorhead was a longtime officer and captain on the Spirit Lake police force. He stepped down in 2002 and moved to central Iowa.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am this Thursday (Feb. 13th) at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel.
