(Estherville)-There are a couple of Job Fairs on tap at Iowa Lakes Community College in early March. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Iowa Lakes Community College will hold its annual job fairs for students and public job seekers on March 4 & 5.
Career Resource Adviser Melissa Lutat says the first will be held on the Emmetsburg Campus. “It’s a great time for the local employers to be coming out and recruiting our students. Obviously, it’s a great time for me to meet them as well because we’re continuously working with them throughout the year, and when we know what they’re looking for, it’s a great way for us to know, hey, we have local businesses here, and we’re all about keeping our great minds in the local area and employing them right here.”
She adds that the second job fair will be held on the Estherville Campus. “We’ll have it over at our SERT Facility, which is the Sustainable Energy Renewable Technology facility. Over there we have our Electrical students, Engineering, Environmental, HVAC, Water Quality and of course, our wind Energy programs. Employers are invited to attend one or both of the job fairs, and of course, it’s not just for our students, this is also for the local public. If they’d like to attend the job fairs and come and meet with our employers, we’d be happy to have them.”
