(Estherville)-Auditions will be held next week for the Spring Musical at Iowa Lakes Community College, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Iowa Lakes Community College will hold auditions on February 3 and 4 for their spring musical, Mamma Mia!, which will be performed in April.
Instrumental Music Professor Carol Ayres Stueven explains. “It should be a great cast and a wonderful show to open our new performing arts facility. Auditions are Monday and Tuesday, 6 o’clock for children, grade school age 10 and up, and then at 7 o’clock for adults. We’ll meet at the main lobby of the Estherville Campus, and from there people can fill out their schedules and all their information. Then we’ll have closed auditions, which means they’ll come in one person at a time and audition. We’ll have them sing a part of a song, read part of the script for us and learn a little dance, so make sure you wear comfortable clothes.”
She add that a large cast is required for the production: “There’s the three main adult women, the three main adult men, then there’s three college age girls, three main college age boys and then lots of other people.”
