(Sioux City)– A northwest Iowa man is headed to jail after pleading guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography.
31-year-old Raymond Painter, Jr. of Laurens was sentenced Monday to seven years in federal prison.
Painter was sentenced after pleading guilty in August of last year to one count of possession of child porn.
As part of a plea deal, Painter admitted that between April 15th, 2003 and November 27th, 2017, he possessed images and videos of child pornography.
During his sentencing hearing information was presented from Painter’s Google account that revealed online conversations between Painter and another individual during which he expressed a desire to have sex with girls between the ages of 6 and 11 years-old.
