(Sheldon)– A two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening on Highway 18 a mile and-a-half east of Sheldon injured an Everly teen.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 45-year-old Daniel Grooters of Sanborn was driving a 2007 Ford pickup eastbound and had slowed to make a turn when the vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by 19-year-old Seth Kosters of Everly.
Kosters was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital; no injuries were reported to Grooters.
Kosters was cited for failure to maintain control.
Damage to the vehicle driven by Kosters was estimated at $10,000; the pickup driven by Grooters sustained an estimated $500 in damage.
