(Arnolds Park)-A benefit Thursday will help out The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Jason Grinnen will host his 7th Annual Winter Games Benefit for the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa on Thursday evening.
Grinnen says it’s his way of giving back to the community. “I love my animals and I think all animals deserve a fighting chance, and I think this is a good way to help our community and give back to our community, and make sure that our four-legged friends are taken care of.”
He adds that he will perform the music of several classic artists at the event. “From 7 until 8, I’m going to do an hour of music. I’m going to feature 4 artists, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Neil Diamond, however, there might be a few bonuses in there. We’re having a live auction, and then after the auction, we are going to tallying up the totals, and then we’re going to just be opening up the whole evening for karaoke. Whoever wants to sing, they can do whatever they want, and we’ll just have a blast.”
The benefit will start at 7 o’clock at Chaplin’s in Arnolds Park.
