(Arnolds Park)– Another reminder prior to Winter Games weekend for owners of snowmobiles, ATV’s and other off road vehicle owners. Steve Reighard, an enforcement officer with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, says you need to make sure your registrations are up to date…
“If you’re an Iowa resident, your machine, whether it be an ATV or a snowmobile, it has to be registered. If it’s a snowmobile you also have to have your user permit. For a non-resident they need to be registered in your own state and then they also need to pick up the user fee for both the ATV and snowmobile, and those are available at any of the vendors that sell hunting or fishing licenses.”
Authorities say they’ll have additional officers on duty, both on and off the ice, over Winter Games weekend to keep an extra eye on things.
