(Arnolds Park)-A Winter Games Tradition, The Okoboji Summer Theatre’s annual Omelet Brunch will be held on Saturday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Okoboji Summer Theatre Association will host their annual Omelet Brunch on Saturday during Winter Games, when they will announce the line-up for the 63rd season of the theatre.
Association President John Barrow says, this is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. “It’s a major fundraiser for us. The money that we make out of this will go to scholarships for students and we also sponsor a show. So, any of the money that we get in on this really does go back to the students. We’re really are just trying to help them out as much as we can.”
He notes that voucher books will be available at the brunch. “While we’re there, people can talk to us about the association, and join if they like, and also, people buy the voucher books for the season. These are the books where we give out 9 tickets, 5 for the plays and 4 for the musicals. You get it at a discount, you save about $20 off the box office prices, and you also get one ticket for a student on a Friday. Following the omelet brunch, that’s when Ruth Ann will be doing the big reveal about what this next season is going to be all about.”
The brunch will be held at the Okoboji Bible Conference from 8 am to 12:30, with the season announcement scheduled for 1 pm on Saturday.
