(Arnolds Park)– Voting was held throughout the day today (Thurs.) for this year’s University of Okoboji Winter Games cheerleaders, and we now know who they will be.
The eight cheerleaders this year will be Andrew Fisher of the Bedell Family YMCA and Camp Foster; Deb Heidebrink, a volunteer; Jodi Lange, a board member of the Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce; Andy Lux, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce; Paul Plumb, Marketing Director of Arnolds Park; John M. Sandy, an attorney; and Jeff and Megan Vierkant. Jeff is CEO of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated; Megan, Jeff’s daughter, is a special olympics athlete.
Cheerleader nominations were gathered throughout the month of December.
This year’s University of Okoboji Winter Games will be held January 23rd-26th.
