(Emmetsburg)– A single vehicle crash Friday in Palo Alto county injured an Emmetsburg teen.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Elyssa Flannegan of Emmetsburg was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger eastbound on 430th Street when she lost control of the vehicle. It went into the south ditch and rolled, coming to rest in a field. Flannegan was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital and was transferred by air to a Sioux Falls hospital. The extent of her injuries wasn’t known.
The vehicle was totaled.
Authorities say the crash took place shortly before 8:00 am.
The Iowa State Patrol assisted on the scene.
