(Rock Rapids)– Serious injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Lyon county.
Authorities say 35-year-old Richard Fagan of Winfield, Kansas was driving a 2015 Kenworth pulling a trailer northbound on a county road and 55-year-old Dianne Kass of Sibley was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on Highway 9 when the two collided in the intersection.
Kass and a passenger in her vehicle were seriously injured and had to be extricated from the vehicle. They were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
$55,000 in damage was estimated to the semi; the Equinox sustained an estimated $12,000 in damage.
