(Spencer)– A fundraising event held last month for Camp Autumn raised a little more than $24,000.
The money was raised during a dessert auction October 26th in Orange City.
Camp Autumn is located near Sutherland. It’s operated by Spencer-based Seasons Center for Behavioral Health. The therapeutic camp serves children and young adults agest 4-21.
The camp opened in June, 2017 and is named in memory of Autumn Elgersma of Orange City who died October 31st 2013 after being hospitalized due to abuse she endured from a babysitter.
