(Arnolds Park)-A fundraiser next week will feature Donkey Basketball, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has the story:
The Okoboji After Prom Committee is holding a fundraiser on Monday, November 11 at the Okoboji Middle School Gymnasium.
Amber Kollasch explains. “It’s going to be awesome. We have 4 different teams, over 40 school employees, coaches, students and community members, and we’re going to have 2 games and 1 championship game where all of the players ride real live donkeys. It’ll be lots of fun. You never know what the donkeys are going to do. They call it the world’s craziest sport.”
She adds that tickets are available in advance and at the door. “If they want to get their tickets now through Sunday, they can stop at Salon 11, The Lakes News Shopper or Sunshine Foods in Milford and they’re $7. At the door that night they will be $10, and preschool ages 5 and under are free.”
The event will get underway at 7 o’clock. Proceeds will benefit the Okoboji After Prom.
