(Jackson, Mn.)– One person was injured in a pick-up/semi accident Monday morning on Highway 71 in Jackson.
Shortly after 11:30am, Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident on Highway 71 at the intersection of Interstate 90.
Keeda Pfundt of Jackson was driving a 1989 Chevy pickup northbound on US 71 and Rocky Burgart of New Hampton, Iowa was driving a 2016 Kenworth Semi and trailer southbound on US 71.
Burgart attempted to turn east onto the eastbound ramp of I-90 and failed to yield right of way to the Chevy pickup. Pfundt was transported to the Jackson Medical Center by the Jackson Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Burgart was not injured.
The Jackson Fire Department, MN State Patrol, and Warmka Towing also assisted at the scene.
