(Arnolds Park)-The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association’s Fall Rock the Roof Concert series is about to get underway, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has announced a Fall Rock the Roof Concert Series.
IRRMA’s Patsy Donovan explains. “This is the first year that I’m aware of that we’ve decided to have fall and winter Rock the Roof events, to continue the programming that we do in the summer. So, we’re going to do one a month and it’s normally going to be on the third Thursday of the month. Our first one is coming up October 17th, this week. Rock a La Carte is playing from 6 to 8:30 and it’ll be at the Pavilion. Food and a bar is still available, and the price at the door is still the same, $8 for a single and $15 for a couple.”
She notes that the November concert will be the Rock 4 Vets Show featuring Galaxy on November 21, with a Christmas Rock the Roof slated for December 19. All of the concerts will be held at the Majestic Pavilion in Arnolds Park.
Donovan adds that the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Museum is open during the fall season. “At this time we are planning, this week at least, for 10 to 4, Monday through Saturday, next week it will be Monday through Friday 10-4.”
