(Spencer)– An investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office into reports of a suspicious person in Peterson has resulted in the arrest of a Newell man on multiple charges.
Authorities say the incidents are alleged to have taken place between September 25th and October 1st of this year. They say a subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Darrel Pounds of Newell, who was taken into custody around 2:00 am this past Wednesday.
Pounds was charged with stalking, two counts of burglary and violation of a no contact order. He was booked into the Clay county jail.
Authorities say pounds was arrested after they obtained and executed a search warrant on his residence and vehicle, and that a valid no-contact order was in place between him and a resident in Peterson.
