(Alta)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reminding hunters of an informational meeting coming up Wednesday, October 23rd at the Alta Community Center in Alta. The DNR says they’ll be talking about the proposed waterfowl season and and zone structure for the 2021-2025 seasons.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:00 pm that evening.
Information will also be presented on the statewide hunter survey, along with federal rules and guidelines pertaining to waterfowl hunting and the proposed season and zone structure.
The Alta meeting is one of five being held across the state. DNR officials say input gathered from the sessions will be reviewed before an official proposal is submitted to the Natural Resource Commission for consideration. If approved the rule would have an open comment period before going back to the commission for a final vote.
